Sudprogetti was incorporated, as a joint stock company, in 1973, when a project for the new Isab refinery in Priolo, Sicily, was implemented. Its aim was to supply engineering services to the main industrial groups in the Siracusa area.

After having strengthened its standing in the territory and having reached a leading position in the local market, Sudprogetti expanded its operating capacity to all Sicily and to other industrial sites throughout Italy, with increased renown for high flexibility in organization and well experienced personnel.
